Willow Creek Campground offers a true Alberta ranch-country experience — wide open skies, incredible sunsets, and the calm running waters of Willow Creek. Wake up to the sound of cattle in the distance, spend your day exploring the Porcupine Hills, then gather around a propane fire pit under starry skies

 Campground is opened from May 1st – October 31th, 2026

• Early booking rate $35 per night – Rate available until May 1st for any stay during the 2026 season. Rate will increase to $55 per night for booking made after May 1st. 

• Gravel RV pads: 30AMP RV,  each with a picnic table + propane fire pit (BYO propane tank)

• Pet-friendly & family-friendly

• Easy access, just west of Claresholm

• Potable water available to fill your tanks

• Washroom and Shower amenities will be available on site in May 2026.

Riders can enjoy peaceful side roads with very light traffic, making it ideal for relaxed country cruising or longer endurance rides. Rolling foothills, open ranchland, winding creeks, and panoramic mountain views create a stunning backdrop at every turn. The wide-open skies and fresh prairie air make each ride both refreshing and inspiring. Whether you’re a casual rider looking for a scenic afternoon outing or an experienced cyclist seeking gentle climbs and sweeping descents, biking in the MD of Willow Creek offers space, tranquility, and breathtaking Alberta scenery.

Lyndon Creek Trail: At a short drive, you will find a  challenging 18.7 km out-and-back trail featuring approximately 468 meters of elevation gain. The route typically takes 5 to 5.5 hours to complete, depending on pace and conditions. Ideal for both hiking and mountain biking, the trail offers a diverse landscape of dense forest sections and open areas with scenic views.

Head‑Smashed‑In Buffalo Jump is one of the most remarkable archaeological and cultural sites in North America, located near Fort Macleod in southern Alberta. It preserves evidence of a traditional Plains Indigenous hunting method that was used for nearly 6,000 years
